HI, THERE!

Welcome to Equine Synergism's event pages. Classes are held just west of Brighton on Highway 7.  Please contact me at any time with any questions. You can call me at 720-270-3042 (please leave a message) or by email at vickie@equinesynergism.com.

YOU'VE PROBABLY NOTICED...
most of the training pages do not include prices any more. You have to send off for more information and to get scheduled dates. Good marketing strategy if you're trying to gather names and emails. I prefer working by word-of-mouth.

So, here's the straight and narrow of your financial responsibility for attending any of these classes -

WHAT IT'S WORTH TO YOU?
What it's worth to you is what you give. If it's worth a lot, give a lot. If it's worth a little...well...you get the idea. I can't really consider what you give a donation because this is a for-profit organization. The way I figure it, if you like what you hear you'll come back. If you don't agree with what you hear, and don't pay anything, you may still come back. If you don't like what you hear, and have to pay more than what you think it's worth to find out you don't like it, you'll never come back! Equine Synergism isn't for everyone. I understand that. It's all about good old fashioned common sense, and a little deeper sense of self.

LET'S FACE IT...
times is tough! here we are - still trying to make a buck to pay for gas, groceries, gas, utilities and the ever special - what's going to break this week...and gas.

LOOKING INSIDE...

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. -Carl Gustav Jung

The horse.  A symbol of power.  A symbol of freedom.  A symbol of birth.  Associated with death.  A widely recognized symbol in mythology.  A powerful tool during the Crusades.  An animal greatly responsible for the growth of civilization.  A status symbol in today's society.

But...do you really know your horse?

Have you felt his Spirit?

Has he touched your soul?

Have you felt his energy?

Are you and your horse competing against each other?

Do you and your horse work independently instead of cooperatively?

Do you and your horse have a strained relationship?

Do you nit-pick and bicker?

Do you have reasons, excuses, explanations and justifications rather than solutions?

Do you and your horse have differing goals?

Do you really want to make the trainer's future financially secure?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a really good horse?

How does that happen?

Could it just be by luck of the draw?

Hardly...

Horse "trainers" have a propensity to forget what it was like to 'step up' the first time. Take into consideration that the first-time horse owner in today's economy is approximately 50 years young. The children are grown, grandkids are on the way. Finances are somewhat secure. Property was purchased and a barn built. Now it's time to buy a horse. How difficult is that?

About 1200 pounds worth...

WHAT'S THAT?

Just what will you learn by attending these classes?

Making sure you understand what it is you expect from yourself, and what you expect from your horse.

Making allowances for anxiety.

Setting reasonable limits for yourself.

Knowing your tolerance level.

Staying safe.

Most importantly, you'll meet yourself. When your needs are met and you feel satisfied, you’re probably giving it your best effort and producing your best results. That's all we can ask of anyone, including ourselves.

Some of us were lucky enough to start our horse-life at a very young age. Before we realized people didn't neigh and whinny. Before we knew we were supposed to walk on two feet. Before we knew that not everyone rode a horse to the mailbox, or used a horse for a diving board, or stayed up all night when a foal was due. Before we knew that falling off a horse hurt. Before we had responsibility. Before we knew the worry of money - or lack there of.

It is a way of thinking, a way of being. It is a way of looking at the world "through the eyes of a horse". It is "being in the now". It is a reminder that not everyone has had this opportunity.

You have the opportunity, will you take advantage of it?

Like people, horses come into our lives for different reasons. Sometimes it's for us. Sometimes it's for the horse. Sometimes it's for all of us. Sometimes they bring their people with them. What ever the reason, each of us takes something with us and gives something back in return.

What can horses teach us?

How to focus on the positive.

Making it balance.

Finding simple solutions to difficult problems.

How to stay in control.

How to relax.

How to "be".

The next time you walk down the street, try smiling at people.  The next time someone needs to merge onto the highway, try to let them.  The next time you go through the toll booth and have extra change, pay for the person behind you.  The next time someone is in line at the grocery store and is minus a few cents that you have, give it to them.  The next time someone yells at you on the highway, try to smile and wave.
